Marriage Problems – Signs
There are many ways to recognize marriage problems – signs are everywhere, you just have to look for them. Here are some things to be aware of when it comes to your marriage.
Do you and your partner act like complete strangers when you are around one another? If you sink into that “comfortable silence” too often, this could be a negative thing. Do you feel like your every movement and action is constantly being judged? If your partner always has some sort of comment regarding an action that you may have taken, you may need to discuss this sort of scrutiny before it is too late. These are some of the most common marriage problems – signs of this sort are rather obvious, but some are not quite as apparent.
Most couples struggle to communicate with one another. You live under the same roof, eat meals together, watch television together, and do errands together, but you may not really know one another. If you find that you are constantly hearing about your partner’s life through other friends or family members, it’s time to sit down and talk. Another thing to be aware of is an obvious change in appearance. Sure, you, or your partner, may become comfortable over time, which may lead to a little extra weight or an unwashed shirt on occasion, but if you partner always looks as though they’ve rolled out of bed ... you may be dealing with a deeper issue.
Marriage problems – signs that a marriage is really starting to unravel – can be best discovered in the bedroom. If your partner would rather work late hours than come home to you, they may be avoiding your company. Does your partner pull their hand away when you reach for it? Do they cuddle with you at night? If you find yourself alone quite often, you can be sure that your partner is not happy.
What should you do if your partner begins to act in any of these ways? Well, the first step is to talk to them. Find out what is going on. Sometimes, they may be swamped with work, or they may be under an immense amount of stress. Many times, your partner may not even know that they are acting differently. If talking doesn’t work, seek professional help. You can save your marriage if you just pay attention.
Those marriage problems – signs and acts that really speak volumes – that seem helpless are often just wrapped up in a bundle of confusion. Don’t give up on your marriage. Instead, work toward living, and appreciating, one another again. In time, you’ll be acting like newlyweds if you just give it a second chance.
